Today March 6, 2016 is National Dentist Appreciation Day. Our staff and residents visited all of the dentists who participate in our “Healthy Smiles Program” to bring them some lunch and show our gratitude for all their hard work and commitment to the Mission and our community.
The Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia is blessed to have the support of so many wonderful dental professionals who donate their time and expertise to our Healthy Smiles Dental Program. The program allows residents of the Mission to see dentists and resolve years of damage to their teeth and gums, relieve pain and improve their smile. Many of the participants have not smiled publically for many years and upon completion of their dental work have a new outlook about themselves and their future. As you will see from their own words, this program has had a profound impact on these individuals.
We have had 49 participants in the program since its inception in 2015 and look forward to having many more over the coming years.
Thank you to Dr. William Argo for spearheading this program and bringing so many wonderful dentists into the lives of Rescue Mission residents and graduates. Thank you to all the doctors and staff for your help. The love and kindness you have shown to so many people is a blessing. Your compassion and generosity have radically changed lives forever. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ!

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Whoever speaks, is to do so as one who is speaking the utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11
